Vikings Basketball All-Time Top Scorers

Note: Recently some questions have been raised about who is the leading scorer in Viking history. Most accounts have Bob Mitchell at the top while others suggest that Jason Reeves is the leader. Research is underway to sort this out and to ensure that the totals posted here are as accurate as they can be.

Update 25JUNE2009: Jason Reeves contacted me and confirmed that his point total was 1525, placing him second on the list. Thanks, Jason.

Update 26JUNE2009: Troy Yoes has researched the books and discovered that Bob Mitchell's total was even higher than reported. He had 1542 as of the time the yearbook went to press, but the season wasn't over then. Thanks, Troy.

Thanks to exhaustive research by Jerry Burlison, Mike Edmondson, and Jace Bryant, we now have a partial list of the top scorers in Viking history.

Your input is still needed, though, because I suspect there are players who scored in the 500-700 range who aren't on this list but should be. Send me the data and if it checks out I'll be happy to add them.

Unfortunately this list is not up to date because only the highest of scorers have been submitted to me in recent years. So for those of you who think you should be shown to be in the 500-900 range all I can say is I don't receive that data, so I can't post it. 3JAN2012
